FAQ

1) How do I order any article?

First, you have to register on this website. This can be done by clicking in the upper right corner. Here, we ask you some details in case we need to contact you. After your registration, you will automatically return to the home page. Log in (upper right corner), click the account icon (upper right corner) and press 'My Bookings'. Here, you will find the button 'Book Articles'. From here on, you can order your books. Do not forget to press 'Book' in the lower right corner, otherwise your bookings won't be saved!

2) I can't see all my courses, some of them are missing.

Make sure you add all your courses to your profile. Maybe you only added courses from one semester. Don't forget to add the courses from the second semester. Also, check whether your courses have the right course code. You can do so by logging in, clicking on the icon in the upper right corner, and clicking on your name. In the profile view, there are four tabs, of which the tabs 'Studies' and 'Subjects' are relevant to this question.

3) My book is not assigned yet, when will I get it?

When you order a book, you will receive an email when the book is assigned to you, which means we have the book in stock for you. If we don't have enough books, we will order more on a weekly basis, and you will receive an email once we received the order.

4) My bookings expired! What should I do now?

You can simply re-order the course material you still require. Remember: once assigned, your bookings expire after ten days! If you don't want to buy a specific book anymore, please delete your booking, so that the book will be assigned to the next person in line waiting

5) I don't know when the bookstore opens.

You can find the opening hours of the nearest week on the front page of our website. Mind that the opening hours of Theokot are not the same as the opening hours of the bookstore. Don't forget to check these hours before picking up your books.

6) Can I print something myself in Theokot?

Yes, you can. You can print anything during the opening hours of Theokot, but you have to buy a print card first during the opening hours of the bookstore. You can scan files (free), print black and white and in color, this for A4- and A3-format.

7) I have bought something wrong/double. What should I do?

If the material is undamaged or there is nothing written in the book, you can return the item and you can get your money back. You can come to the bookstore during the opening hours and ask somebody behind the desk to help you.

8) I accidentally ordered a membership, but I don't want to become a member of VTK. How can I undo this?

You can click on your name in the upper right corner of our website. Now you can see your account settings. Click on 'Edit' and unselect the button of the membership. You can also ask the person behind the paydesk to remove the membership.

9) Can I buy or sell books second-hand?

Yes, you can (only on PC). At 'My Bookings, you can click on 'Retail shop'. Here you find an overview of all deals that students have proposed. If you click on 'Enquire', an automatic email will be send to the seller to say that you are interested in buying this book. At 'My deals', you can find every book in which you have shown interest. At 'My retails', you can make a proposition for a book yourself, even anonymously. You can only buy and sell books that we sell as well. At 'Recommended Retails', you can find an overview of all the deals for courses that you have selected in your account.
