Operational Technology lead in Process Automation
You will make part of the Operational Technology Excellence Center at the Tessenderlo Group’s head quarter. It is a technical, high-impact role, powering the key element of Process Automation.
• Your role is to support the different Business Units in having a reliable and up to date process automation system. This covers PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, Instrumentation, Historians, Network and Servers, Process Analytical Tools, MES, etc. from the manufacturing installations. • More precisely you: o Act as an expert to provide advice o Support the life cycle management of Operational Technology including the plan to replace obsolete equipment. o Help to make & implement the roadmap towards the Smart Factory o Challenge current ways of working and propose (new) automation solutions o Help to build the local automation teams o Focus on standardization on Business Unit or Group level
• You are able to take the lead for larger or complex automation projects, if such request would be received from the busines unit. You apply a proper project management method.
• You acquire knowledge and experience with the most advanced technologies in this area and are able to translate this in (pilot tests for) value added applications.
• You will work closely together with the local OT coordinators in the Bus, the Operational Excellence team, Business Process Leads & IT Business partners. You know very well how to interact with different stakeholders.
• You report to the Head of Digital Transformation & Operational Excellence.

Wanted Profile
• You are a starter or have 5 years of experience, in chemistry, food, pharma or other process industry. • Profound knowledge of process automation and PLC/SCADA systems. • Able to collaborate effectively across Business Units in different industries, countries and organizational setups. • You are experienced in change management and have good coaching skills. • You are able to work independently yet transparently and as a team player towards colleagues. • You have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and can present in a structured way. • You can get things done, with an entrepreneurial spirit. • You have an excellent command of English and Dutch or French • You hold a bachelors or master's degree. • You are open for regular travel and to work in the manufacturing plants
